The design for this summer camp for Extra Special People, a nonprofit that hosts camps for people of all  ages and abilities, with special consideration for a diverse set of needs. Beginning with a weekend long  design charrette at the University of Georgia that determined program.

The cabin area was built into the steep hill onto pilotes, extending to create the feeling of being elevated in  a treehouse with entry from an accessible boardwalk. Between the cabins is a small lodge and field, with  sensory rooms and a large outdoor space. The cabin module features bunks in groups of four for ease of  supervision, as well as to minimize noise and disruption from large groups of campers. Each cabin was  designed with a small entry way, deck, and winter room overlooking the wooded landscape. Staff Cabins  were designed with slightly larger modules, separating into 2 bunk rooms and bathrooms.
