During a semester-long study abroad, research on the history and urban forms in Barcelona led to site selection process for a hypothetical long term residence for university students in San Marti. Site selection included in-depth analysis on a few sites, chosen from more than 50 that were collected. Research was conducted on geography, history, and relationship to the urban fabric. Particular emphasis was placed on on the impact of significant events in Barcelona’s urban development and their relationships to the site. The above diagrams and visual studies reflect this research.
